Taste of Gourmet has been an exciting adventure for me. I've traveled to Memphis, New Orleans, Atlanta, the Bahamas and Williamsburg with Taste of Gourmet attending meetings, having fun, meeting wonderful people and sharing the fantastic opportunities available with Taste of Gourmet. I'm a Managing Director with Taste of Gourmet and I'm also a middle school English teacher. I absolutely love both. Retirement from teaching looms on the horizon, and I'm counting on Taste of Gourmet to help finance that retirement. My husband, Larry, and I have six wonderful children and seven beautiful grandchildren. We want to have tons of lovely money to enable us to play with those grandchildren. Taste of Gourmet is making that happen! My name is April Savell. My husband Clay and I live in Brandon with our 2 boys, Thomas and Hill. I'm originally from Indianola, MS, the Home of Taste of Gourmet and The Crown Restaurant. When I did my first Why Story it was about how Clay and I were looking for a way for me to stay home with our children and still be able to help with expenses. Well the “why” is still MONEY but the reasons for the money have changed a little. Now I am needing some time for myself and my business, so my commission is paying for Pre-School and helping with the new home we've built and the land that my husband and I purchased. My “Action Motivators” are still my kids and spending time with them but MY NEEDS have changed in the years of staying at home and MY BUSINESS has flourished over the last couple of years! I am still in control of my time and have plenty of quality time with my family! I am also still a Delta Girl from Indianola sharing part of my hometown with everyone I meet! I am a Gourmet Food Consultant for Taste of Gourmet. I offer 3 services: I provide great food products that can be purchased. I offer the opportunity to earn free products by hosting a Tasting party.
